I just fell in love with Sue's cute and clever baby mobile card as soon as I saw it! The mix of textures from the embossing, the ribbon and the buttons is just fabulous. Those pearl accents really add a fun pop and the tiny tag sentiment is just adorable, too. Such a creative way to use the "buttons and bows" theme. Congratulations to you, Sue on being my pick for Headliner this week!

Penny's stunning card caught my eye for its subtle colors and soft stamping.  I love the way she stamped the line art flowers tumbling across the card and the added an extra pop with a fussy cut and simply embellished bloom.  All the elements combine to create a stunning and quiet elegance just perfect for a sympathy card.  Congratulations, Penny, you're our Headliner!

Challenge #131: Theme Challenge - Sympathy

Hi, stamping friends!  Nance here.  First, please join me in thanking LeAnne for her awesome sketch last week.  It was great, right?!  Right!  This week, I am your hostess for our monthly Theme Challenge:

Sympathy cards can be so difficult to create.  If you're like me, you don't typically make them until you actually need one and that can be the most difficult time to convey your thoughts and feelings.  Perhaps at no other time, does a handmade card convey as much love and support as during the loss of a loved one.  So, let's resolve to make a card for this week's challenge and help build our stash of cards for when we truly need one.  As always, the Design Team has provided abundant inspiration for you...please, take a look:

Hello Players! LeAnne here. I loved what you did with my sketch!!  Before we get to the Headliner, let's have a look at the Design Team's selections for A Cut Above. 

The winners for PP130:

1. Ann's Choice: A yummy color combination of Peach Parfait and Pool Party makes Dawn's card so cheery! Stitching and a fabric brad are the perfect touches on this delightful card. Congrats, Dawn!	2. Sandy's Choice: Jen's lovely layers and sweet colors drew me right in, and the greeting was perfect for this layout. Congrats, Jen!	3. Justin's Choice: With the classic white, black and red Linda's card sang to me and the popped up bird was the icing on the cake! Congrats Linda!
4. Brian's Choice: Kerin's crisp colors, clean lines and sweet mix of patterns make me very happy! Congrats, Kerin!	5. Amy's Choice: Pauline's fun colors brighten up this vintage-style stamp and give it a whole different look. The embossing and fun flower brad are great finishing touches. Congrats, Pauline!	6. Jaydee's Choice: Those bunnies are so adorable I couldn't resist them! The fact that the rest of the card is gorgeous was an added bonus! Congrats, Rita
7. Nance's choice: Gillian's gorgeous sunset colors and silhouette florals jumped off the page at me...pick me, pick me..so I did! Congrats, Gillian!	8. Anne Marie's Choice: Sandie's card is full of shabby fabulousness! That ribbon flower is gorgeous and I love the soft color combo she used. Beautiful! Congrats, Sandie!	9. Jen's Choice: I just loved Jen's fun take on the sketch, the fab clouds and little plane finished off with a fab sentiment., Congrats Jen

Selene - Stamp 4 Fun with Selene

The minute I saw Selene's card with the beautiful shades of blue and yellow, and her beautifully-colored floral image and sentiment, I knew she was in the running for my Headliner!  The embossing adds an elegant touch, and that gorgeous satin ribbon and bow are the perfect final touch!  Congrats, Selene, for being my Headliner this week!
